Stay Active For the Years Ahead
Getting older shouldn’t mean giving up the activities
you enjoy.
Whether that’s walking, gardening, travelling, playing with your grandchildren or simply feeling confident and independent in everyday life, maintaining your strength, balance and mobility matters.
Understanding how you're doing today can help you take positive steps to stay strong, capable and active for the years ahead.

What Does the Assessment Include?
The Healthy Ageing Assessment is a 30-minute physiotherapy assessment for adults aged 60 and over.
We'll look at four key areas of physical function:
✓ Hand grip strength
✓ Leg strength and function
✓ Mobility
✓ Balance
Your results are compared with established reference values to help identify the areas you're doing well in and those that may benefit from some extra attention.

Your Personal Results & Exercise Plan
You won't just leave with a set of scores.
After your assessment, you'll receive an easy-to-understand personal report explaining your results and how they compare with people of a similar age.
You'll also receive a personalised home exercise plan based on your results.
This might include some things to do at home to improve your balance, leg strength or general strength — giving you practical things you can work on to help maintain your physical ability and independence.

See Your Progress
The assessment doesn't have to end there.
Optional 30-minute reassessments at 4 and 8 weeks allow us to repeat your tests, compare your scores and progress your exercises where appropriate.
You'll be able to see the difference your effort is making while making sure you're getting the most from the time you're putting into your exercises.
